Sophia L. White (Founder)

Sophia White....In entertainment circles, the name Sophia White immediately evokes images of an effervescent personality whose outstanding musical talent has been showcased on stages around the globe. Today, her already impressive resume of personal and professional accomplishments – including her former post as General Manager of The SH World Group – now includes a role as a dynamic motivational speaker to which she brings a lifetime of experience-honed wisdom.
Mentored by a master of the art, Les Brown, Sophia is captivating audiences of all ages and from all walks of life with her encouraging messages that inspire listeners to find “The Strength Within” and “The Power to Dream Again.” She is a powerful vessel with an anointed spirit who is willing to be used by God to touch hearts and penetrate minds.
Throughout her life, Sophia White, has always exceeded the boundaries of expectations. A musical prodigy from early childhood in her native Mississipi, Sophia’s extraordinary talents first shone in the church, which gave her not only the performing foundation for her career, but instilled in her – along with the enduring influence of her mother, an outstanding educator – the Christian and life principles that would become her guideposts.
Sophia’s innate abilities defined a path that led her to become a standout in the entertainment arena. Based in Atlanta, where her family relocated, she soon gained wide exposure for her extraordinary multiple talents as a singer, instrumentalist, composer, actor, and writer/producer. She has worked with musical luminaries in practically every genre – performing Jazz with The Duke Ellington Orchestra; R&B with Peabo Bryson, Regina Belle, The Manhattans, Shirley Murdock, among many others; and touring as background/lead for top-tier Pop and Rock groups including Toto, Michael Franks, and the iconic Celine Dion.
When Sophia shed the trappings of ensemble performance and sought her well-deserved solo spotlight, additional opportunities opened up for this unstoppable woman. Musical plays were among them and she excelled in stage productions such as Tyler Perry’s hit play, ”I Know I’ve Been Changed.” She also became a vocal coach for emerging young child stars in Atlanta, from Usher Raymond to Raven Symone. Sophia went on to write a children's play designed to promote greater self-confidence in young people called "Soke's Great Adventure," which led to a series of children's books and a line of children's clothing.
Her extensive entertainment background had given her a hands-on understanding that “there can be no show without the business.” Having witnessed the pitfalls of artists who failed to grasp how the industry works, Sophia White developed a business acumen and savvy as formidable as the depth of her musical talent. She had parlayed that knowledge into numerous ventures when she was tapped for her former managerial position with SH World Group.
Sophia attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where she first acquired and expanded her knowledge of the business world. When her combination of beauty and talent led to her selection as Miss Fulton County (1993-94), she used the title as a platform for continuing civic involvement. She is active with Boys & Girls Clubs, the Sickle Cell Association and supports battered and abused children’s organizations throughout the Metropolitan Atlanta area. She is a member of Divine Faith Ministries, under the leadership of Pastor Donald Battle. Sophia and her husband of 13 years, John White, are the parents of two daughters, ages 12 and 9, who are following in their mother’s footsteps as budding performers and entrepreneurs.
